Our completed shipping container base units are steel structures with door and window openings that are fabricated to suit the customer's purpose, garden layout and plans. The units are constructed with an insulated and vapour proof interior 'sandwich' for walls, floor and ceiling. Heating is designed to match the thermal efficiency of the structure across four seasons. A dehumidfier is supplied to mitigate the ingress of damp air.
Electrical systems are designed under IET 18 and can be powered either by house supply or alternative energy such as generator / solar / wind / battery. To ensure full flexibility our units are fitted with a large number of power and USB sockets. IT connection is easy to fit using different solutions to suit your project and its location in your garden. For extra 'fun' we are able to design the electrical system to accommodate voice control where Amazon, Google and Apple devices can be used.
The position of Windows and Doors is a matter of light, layout and positioning within your garden. These openings are framed in welded structural steel sections within which doors and windows are installed. Double glazing is standard, triple glazing options are available.
For our base units we opt for natural materials on both the floors and walls.
There are custom options depending on actual use and requirement with a huge range of panelling materials and style choices available.
Standard LED lighting allows for internal ceiling, external front wall and a single remote flood-light.

Price guidance using some of our base designs:
A Garden Office with 3 windows, large 3 metre wide bi-folding doors, a roof-top trellis and configured as a web-enabled 'plug-and-play' office ( as pictured in the Gallery) would retail from £19,995 excluding VAT.
A simpler Garden Room configuration with one large window, one small window, a French patio door and a basic electrics fit out would retail from £14,995 excluding VAT.
A Garden Kitchen consisting of a 20 ft container split into two compartments (kitchen area/shed area). The Kitchen Area has two sides open to the elements, a glazed roof light, recycled wood lining on walls and floor, basic electric systems to power kitchen appliances will retail from £9,995 excluding VAT.
A two module Accommodation Pod including shower room, toilet and kitchenette giving 300sqft of space will retail from £32,000 excluding VAT. Our understanding of current VAT regulations indicates that with a few upgrades to ensure construction is to BS3692 will reduce VAT to Zero on this sort of product.
A DIY Shell consisting of a 20ft container with aluminium double glazed windows and doors fitted as per our above Garden Room and no internal fit out at all, will retail from £7,995 excluding VAT.
These specimen prices are ex-works and do not include any extras, logistic costs, ground works or installation - all of which can be quoted on request.
Our products are manufactured and assembled in the UK and supplied in accordance with current legislation pertaining to the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Payment terms and conditions will be explained in detail during the purchase process. In outline, the Customer secures supply by paying a non-refurndable commissioning fee, which is 5% of the total price. This covers all preparatory design work, ongoing consultation work and the detailing of the build specification as well as a preliminary site visit. Once the build design and scheduling has been agreed with the Customer, a Production Agreement will be signed by both parties and a 45% Deposit will be required. This will confirm the cancellation liabilities and obligations. Once the unit is completed, the Customer will be invited to conduct a pre-delivery inspection (PDI) and will be required to pay the balance before delivery to site.
